Subject: Request for informatoin on endosulfan use on greenhouse tomatoes
Teung,
We'd appreciate any help you can provide concerning the use of endosulfan
and its importance on greenhouse tomatoes in the United States. Specifically,
can you please provide the following information relative to endosulfan
use in greenhouse tomato production? Whatever USDA can provide in the
next week or so, including any regional aspects of the use, would be
very much appreciated.

(1) the extent of endosulfan use - i.e.,
total pounds of endosulfan active ingredient applied, proportion of operations
using endofulfan, typical application rate per application, typical number
of applications per year per operation
(2) the pest(s) that are targeted by endosulfan use in greenhouse tomato
production.
(3) the timing of endosulfan use
(4) the availability of other chemical and non-chemical controls for the
pest(s) targeted by endosulfan use
(5) the advantage(s) and disadvantage(s) (e.g., efficacy, cost, use
restrictions (REI, PHI, etc.), etc.) of endosulfan compared to other
control options
(6) the maximum REI feasible for endosulfan use on greenhouse tomatoes
