Comments in response to: Ethofumesate Risk Assessments; Notice of Availability, Federal Register Notice March 30, 2005 (Vol. 70, No. 60) [OPP-2004–0346; FRL-7704-3]
The only ethofumesate product licensed for sale in Hawai‘i is Prograss (432-941). The only reported use of ethofumesate in Hawai‘i is on golf courses to control grasses (crabgrass and others) and nutsedge. Not very much of the product is used. However, it is one of only a few herbicides that can be used on warm and cool season turf grass, and can be used preemergence and postemgergence. Some courses with bentgrass use Prograss.
