1) All citrus
2) Application timing for 7.5 lb would be primarily for scales during
the June-August window. Valencias are harvested during this period
and those growers would like avoid using malathion until after harvest.
Other varieties would be harvesting much later in the season (Oct-following
April). Multiple applications would be extremely rare.

Thank you for the comment you put together on malathion use on citrus in CA. I have just a few questions.
(1) the 7.5 lb ai/A request, is that for all citrus (grapefruit, kumquat,
lemon, lime, oranges, tangerines, and tangelos)?
(2) what is the application timing of this single 7.5 lb application
(time of year and timing with respect to harvest dates)? The proposed
REI that you saw, (5 days) is going to be revised, and likely be smaller
than 5 days. However there is currently a 7 day PHI based upon 6.25 lb
ai/A at 3 applications and 30 day retreatement interval, and I need to
determine if/how a single application will or will not change the current
PHI.
Feel free to call me if you'd like. I can be reached at 703.305.5035.
Thanks for your help,
Tom Moriarty
